Licence to use Architect's Plans
This Licence Agreement to use Architect’s Plans is designed for use in relationships between architects and builders where the architect has designed a building and the builder is to build it. The builder is given a specified number of copies of the plans under a licence.
The scope of this licence is limited to the use of the plans for the purposes of constructing the building and subsequently repairing and / or maintaining it. Further use of the plans by the builder must be agreed upon in writing with the architect.
This simple agreement is well suited for small – medium building projects with a limited number of parties. It should be noted that the warranties given by the architect are based upon rights only. No professional or official standards are referred to.
Optional phrases / clauses are enclosed in square brackets. These should be read carefully and selected so as to be compatible with one another. Unused options should be removed from the document.
