Under Section 22 of the Agricultural Tenancies Act, this Notice must be given to the Landlord before the end of the period of 2 months beginning with the date of termination of the tenancy. The Notice refers to the improvements and describes the nature of the Tenant’s claim. The Landlord is invited to contact the Tenant to agree the level of compensation or to agree on the appointment of an arbitrator.
If the parties cannot agree on the amount of compensation or the appointment of an arbitrator, either party may, after the end of the period of 4 months beginning with the date of termination of the tenancy, ask the President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to appoint an arbitrator.
