New Distance Selling Terms & Conditions
Following on from our comprehensive set of updated documents in June for compliance with the new Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Simply-Docs has now published new sets of terms and conditions specifically designed for distance selling.
Distance selling is defined as any form of contract which is concluded without the simultaneous physical presence of the trader and the consumer with the use of one or more means of distance communication up to and including the time at which the contract is concluded.
Unlike our previous offerings in the distance selling realm, the new distance selling terms and conditions are not designed for use with e-commerce. Rather, they are designed for use in situations such as telesales or mail order.
New Distance Selling Terms and Conditions for Goods and Services
New terms and conditions templates have been created for the sale of goods and for the sale of services. In both cases, the documents are written in broad, general terms making them suitable for a wide range of applications, goods and service types. Both templates are designed to assist traders in compliance with their obligations under the aforementioned Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 which came into force in June 2014.
