Property Related Documents for Charities

Charity Related Property Documents

Simply-Docs has created a new set of property documents designed for use where one of the parties to the transaction is a charity. The Charity Property documents are divided into two sections; Lease and Other Property Documents (Charities) and Licence and Tenancy at Will Documents (Charities). The documents include various Leases, Subleases, Licences, Tenancies at Will, Guidance Notes and other related documents.

The new template documents will be particularly useful where a charity is party to a property transaction since they include suitable wording to describe and identify the charity and special provisions which need to be included in order to comply with the Charities Acts.

Using the Charity Property Documents

We have included in this new group ten new documents to be used for various types of property transaction, together with some ancillary documents to be used when excluding security of tenure. There are also four sets of guidance notes about the use of all of these documents and certain legal aspects of charity property transactions.

These new documents can be used in various cases where a charity either enters into arrangements for occupation of office or retail premises by the charity (on a short or long term basis) or it uses land or other premises for a short period, or it has a lease of offices and wishes to sublet any of its surplus space to another organisation or person.
