Home Working
The government’s initiative to tackle the spread of coronavirus in the UK is currently in the first phase (containment) of its four-part plan. It is, however, very probable that the coronavirus virus will spread further, in which case the government is likely to introduce ‘social distancing’ measures to slow the spread of the virus. Such measures could include a ban on sporting events and other large gatherings, and also encouraging people to work from home rather than use crowded public transport.
In preparation for this, the Home Working Policy has been reviewed and updated. Although the policy is aimed primarily at permanent changes to an employee’s contract of employment, it also touches on temporary changes as would apply in these circumstances.
The Home Working Policy and Documents folder includes a range of documents to assist employers, such as a Home Working Risk Assessment Form.
