Registers & Records - What must be kept & Where?
This month we have continued to refresh and refine our corporate resources for company secretaries by looking at the company registers and records which by law a private company must maintain.
We have revised and replaced our existing documents and created a new subfolder dedicated to the registers and records that a private company must maintain and the locations where they must be kept. Included is a brand new “how to” step by step guidance note; Company Registers & Records – What Must be Kept & Where to Keep Them? This guidance note takes a company secretary (or administrator) through what registers and records need to be kept, the process of managing and maintaining those registers, looking at the registered office and SAIL, as well as considering what access needs to be given to the public to view company records and registers.
Also included within this new folder are all the template registers, board minutes, letters and Companies House forms required in the process of up keeping company registers and records in order to comply with the Companies Act 2006.
As with all our company secretarial resources, this new folder has been written with a newly appointed company secretary (or start up business) in mind as well as a more experienced company administrator for whom it is likely to be a useful refresher guide.
