Building Risk Assessment Form – Wall and Floor Tiling

HS.CON.RA.22.D1

As with other finishing trades, you may not think there are too many hazards in ceramic tiling. But you have manual handling, edges of broken tiles which can cause nasty cuts, exposure to adhesives and grouts etc. in what are often small spaces. This Risk Assessment Form for Fitting Ceramic Wall or Floor Tiles will allow you to assess the risks to your employees while carrying out this task.

This Building Risk Assessment Form has been professionally written for you to use by adding to or deleting the control measures that we have suggested. We have considered the various hazards your employees and anyone else will be exposed to on a regular basis and have given some control measures that you may already have in place, along with our suggestions of those you may wish to implement. These are only our suggestions – you may find that your particular site or location needs different answers, and these forms allow you to fill them in as you need.

If you are new to carrying out risk assessments you may find it useful to read our Guidance Notes: How to do a Construction Site Risk Assessment.

Once you have purchased access to the Health and Safety Document Folder click on the “Download Document” button below. You will be asked what you want to do with the file. It is recommended that you save the document to a location of your choice prior to viewing.

It is suggested that you also refer to the relevant “Toolbox Talk”  - Toolbox Talk -  Skin Protection which you can find here.
