New Student Lettings Documents Folder
The student lettings market has grown in recent years, due to an increase in the number of people in higher education. Owning and letting out a rental property in a university town can be a good investment.
To cater for the needs of private landlords who are letting properties to students, we have added a suite of Student Lettings Documents to our Property folder.
The new documents include assured shorthold tenancy agreements for student houses, flats and bedsits, as well as licences for student lodgers occupying rooms in the landlord’s home. As the documents are designed for student lets, they contain an option for rent to be paid termly instead of monthly, and there are specific tenant’s covenants regarding parties and noise.
We have also provided template parental guarantees, deeds of assignment and deeds of surrender. In addition, there is information about tenancy deposits and some guidance on issues that arise when letting property to students.
