Warning Notice Relating to Company’s PSC Register
A company must take reasonable steps to identify its PSCs or registrable RLEs. This involves serving notice requesting information and giving the addressee one month to respond. However it is possible that the addressee will fail to reply or fail to give a valid reason for not replying.
If the individual or RLE has failed to reply within the relevant time and has a registrable interest in the company, the company can then issue a warning notice. This states that the company plans to issue a restrictions notice if the addressee does not reply to the initial notice requesting information. The addressee will have one further month to reply.
