Standard Health and Safety Statement/Statement of Intent
This Standard Health and Safety Statement has been written to be suitable
for a company of any size, and sets out their commitment to safeguarding
their employees' health, safety and welfare at work. It is recommended that
all businesses (irrespective of size) should at least provide a statement
of their intent to develop and maintain a health and safety action plan.
This Health and Safety Statement is the first step in that process.
If your business has 5 or more employees you must also have a written
Health and Safety Policy in addition to the Standard Health and Safety
This statement has been written to comply with the requirements of the
Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 which sets out employers’ health and
