Landlord’s Rules for Occupiers of a Shared Building

Regulations for Occupiers of a Multi-Let Building

PROP.SHO.31

These Regulations for Occupiers of a Multi-Let Building are designed for use by owners of multi-tenanted retail premises such as shopping centres, malls or parades.

Many leases and licences require the occupiers to abide by any regulations made by the landlord for the better management of the building. This enables the landlord to lay down certain rules and procedures which apply to all occupiers, in addition to the covenants in the occupiers’ individual leases.

The Regulations should be adapted to meet the requirements of particular landlord and to suit the building in question. The suggested regulations in this template cover noise, storage of hazardous materials, parking arrangements, signage and fire safety, amongst other things.

Optional phrases / clauses are enclosed in square brackets. These should be read carefully and selected so as to be compatible with one another. Unused options should be removed from the document.

These Regulations for Occupiers of a Multi-Let Building are in open format. Either enter the requisite details in the highlighted fields or adjust the wording to suit your purposes.
