New and Updated Service Agreements and Terms and Conditions

Services - whether your business is providing them, or whether you are procuring them for your business or your home – are big business. When providing those services (or procuring them), the importance of getting the proper documentation in place cannot be understated.

Before getting down to business with a client, standard terms of business enable you to set out the rules that govern your business and your provision of services to potential clients. When things are ready to get underway, a service agreement ensures that both the service provider and the client know exactly what they expect of one another, what their rights and obligations are under the contract and how the transaction is to proceed.

New Service Agreements and Terms & Conditions

Building on our generic service agreement templates, Simply-Docs has now published a set of new Standard Service Agreements designed for use in a broader range of situations. Like their forbearers, these templates are still designed for use with any number of different services. With the inclusion of certain specific provisions, however, the range of documents is now suitable for even more services.

The new Standard Service Agreement with IP Provisions is designed for use in situations where the provision of the services will entail the creation and exploitation of some form of intellectual property rights.

The new Standard Service Agreement for Services within a Project contains provisions making it suitable for use in situations where the provision of the services takes place as part of a larger project that may require the service provider to work with other contractors.

The new Standard Service Agreement with Project Milestones is written for use in projects which are divided into a series of milestones with payments to be made for each completed milestone.

Each of the new Standard Service Agreements comes in both business-to-consumer and business-to-business flavours.

New Standard Service Terms and Conditions have also been created, each set mirroring the counterpart agreement template. The terms in these new templates are written with reference to the relevant agreements, making it clear which document is legally binding in a contract situation.

Updated Service Level Agreement

In cases where complex services are to be provided over a longer period, a Service Level Agreement may be more suitable – providing for greater accountability through the imposition of expected service levels and monitoring to ensure that those levels are met.

Keeping with the generic services theme, our Standard Service Level Agreement has received a comprehensive update and now benefits from a range of new “boilerplate clauses”, bringing a new level of clarity, reassurance and legal quality.
