This Short-time Working Notice Letter should be used to give notice to an employee that their hours of work have been cut. Short-time Working generally occurs when an employer does not have enough work for an employee.

This Short-time Working Notice Letter specifies the duration of the short-time working i.e. whether it is for a determined period or indefinite. Please note that when short-time working is to occur for an indefinite period, the employee will be entitled to make a claim for statutory redundancy pay after either four consecutive weeks or six weeks or more within a 13 week period of being placed on short-time working.
