This Holiday Entitlement Notice is to be used by employers in light of the increase in leave to 28 from 24 days entitlement which came into force on 1 stApril 2009. Whilst employers do not need to amend employment contracts they do need to inform employees of their increased entitlement.

This statement is concise enough to be used on a payslip and is designed to be general in its application so that it may also be placed on a staff notice board.
