This Event Management Agreement is designed for use by businesses providing event management services to consumers.

Designed for use with a range of event types, this template is designed to be as flexible as possible and has been written in consumer-friendly terms, ensuring high levels of clarity and fairness. Key terms explain the formation of a legally binding contract, fees and payment, the customer’s various cancellation rights and the provision of the event management services themselves.

This document has been reviewed and updated for compatibility with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which entered into force on 1st October 2015.

Being designed for use with consumer clients, this agreement has been written in compliance with a range of consumer protection legislation including the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. It is important to note that this document is designed with on-premises contracts in mind (that is, those that are conducted in the simultaneous physical presence of the seller and the customer on the seller’s premises) and is thus not suitable for distance selling (such as e-commerce) or off-premises selling (such as doorstep sales).
