From 6th April 2017, the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016 (IR 2016) come into force and replace the Insolvency Rules 1986 (IR 1986). The Insolvency Rules are a detailed set of rules that supplement the Insolvency Act 1986.
With the introduction of the IR 2016 on 6th April 2017, the forms below will no longer be of relevance and should NOT be used.
The IR 2016 consolidates the IR 1986 with the amending instruments and legislative changes made since the IR 1986 came into force as well as restructuring and updating the language of the IR 1986. As the IR 2016 are substantially different to the IR 1986, the relevant information and forms as set out on Companies House website should be consulted and used instead.
