This Photograph Licence is designed for use in situations where a photographer has a portfolio of work which can be licensed to third parties, either in part or in full, for inclusion in other projects.

Under the terms of this licence, the copyright in and title to the photographs remains with the photographer. The client is able to use their chosen photographs under licence for the purposes which have been agreed between them and the photographer. Such purposes will be clearly stated in the agreement itself.

The licence granted by this agreement can either be exclusive for a given term or non-exclusive.

Further clauses in this document address aspects including moral rights (the photographer’s right to be identified as the creator of the photographs), payment and confidentiality.

It is important to note that this template is not designed for use with commissioned photography. In cases where a photographer is hired for a particular event or photoshoot, the Photographer Terms and Conditions should be used.

Optional phrases / clauses are enclosed in square brackets. These should be read carefully and selected so as to be compatible with one another. Unused options should be removed from the document.
