This Termination of Contract (Unilateral - Other Events) Letter is designed for use in situations where a party to a contract is entitled to terminate that contract in the event that a particular event occurs in relation to the other party. Such events commonly take the form of the other party having a receiver appointed over its assets, making a voluntary arrangement with its creditors, becoming subject to an administration order, and similar circumstances.

The letter cross references to the right to terminate in the contract itself, identifies the reason for termination, sets the precise termination date and confirms that neither party shall have any further obligation to the other (subject to any clauses in the contract that either or expressly or by their nature continue beyond termination).
