Window Cleaning
Windows and skylights must be designed, constructed or equipped so that their outside and inside surfaces may be cleaned safely. Safety measures can include pivots which allow outside surfaces to be cleaned from the inside, tools which enable safe cleaning from the ground, access equipment such as suspended cradles, safety harnesses and anchorage points.
It should be noted that this regulation does not make window cleaning obligatory. Such operations are only required in cases where dirty windows pose a risk to health, for example from poor lighting or cleanliness.
