Redundancy is potentially a "fair" reason for dismissal but non-compliance with fair redundancy procedures could render an employer open to a successful action for unfair dismissal.
This Letter Advising Employee that Role is No Longer at Risk of Redundancy should be used to confirm that an employee’s role is no longer at risk of redundancy because, for example, other employees in a redundancy selection pool have been (provisionally) selected for redundancy, or the employee’s application for voluntary redundancy has not been accepted.
This template letter should only be used for employees who have not been given notice of dismissal. In those circumstances, use the Letter Withdrawing Notice of Redundancy instead.
