Campsite Booking Terms and Conditions

PROP.HOL.20

These Campsite Booking Terms and Conditions can be used by the Owner of a campsite. The Terms and Conditions can be displayed on the Owner’s website or in a brochure. The Booking Form, Confirmation Letter and Terms and Conditions together form a contract between the Owner and the camper.

The Booking Form contains details such as the name and address of the campsite, the holiday dates and the price. The Terms and Conditions are generic and could apply to any booking at any campsite owned by the Owner. The Booking Confirmation is sent once the booking has been accepted. At this point a contract has been created between the Owner and the camper.

Clause 1 contains definitions and in many cases refers to information contained in the Booking Form.

Clause 2 deals with the booking procedure and payment of the deposit (which is a percentage of the total pitch fees).

Clause 3 covers payment of the balance of the fees.

Clause 4 deals with cancellation. If a booking is cancelled with plenty of notice all sums, including the deposit, are to be refunded. If the booking is cancelled at short notice the Owner will retain the deposit. If the camper is a “no show” the booking is deemed to be cancelled and the Owner will retain the deposit.

Clause 5 gives the camper the right to use shared parts of the campsite and communal facilities. Optional wording can be included if there is an additional charge for use of the facilities.

Clause 6 contains the camper’s covenants. These cover how the tent is to be pitched, careful use of the pitch and the campsite and other practical matters. There are three versions of the “pets” clause: no pets; one well behaved dog; and pets allowed only with the express consent of the owner. There is an optional restriction on the forming of “groups” on the campsite.

Clause 7 is the termination clause. This allows the Owner to terminate the camping licence if there has been a substantial breach of any of the camper’s obligation or if the camper’s behaviour is unacceptable to the Owner.

Clause 8 contains standard legal interpretation wording.

Optional phrases / clauses are enclosed in square brackets. These should be read carefully and selected so as to be compatible with one another. Unused options should be removed from the document.

These Campsite Booking Terms and Conditions are in open format. Either enter the requisite details in the highlighted fields or adjust the wording to suit your purposes.
