Contracts for Supplying Freelancer Services

February 2023

Two new generic forms of contract are now available for a freelancer wishing to provide their services to business clients. The two new templates are general in nature, i.e., they are not designed for any particular subject, skill set, type of trade, business, work or services. They can be used or adapted by a freelancer for many situations.

One contract is for use by an individual freelancer, and the other is for a freelancer to use where they work through a personal services company.

Each template comprehensively covers key issues which will or might arise in many situations where a freelancer offers their services, including the legal status of the freelancer, freedom to employ another individual to carry out work, intellectual property rights, fees, liability, insurance, confidentiality and data protection.
