Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

EMP.STAT.01

Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires large commercial organisations (with a total turnover of at least £36 million per year) to prepare a Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for each financial year. The statement must set out the steps that the organisation has taken during the financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of its own business or in its supply chain. Even if the organisation has not taken any such steps, it must still publish a statement to that effect.

The statement should be published on the company’s website. A link to this statement must be in a prominent place on the homepage.

A company has discretion as to how it sets down information in the statement.

This Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement includes the following headings:

  1. Introduction
  2. Organisational Structure and Supply Chains
  3. High Risk Activities
  4. Training
  5. Policies
  6. Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking
  7. Performance Indicators

This template should be adapted to the individual company’s requirements.

The document is in open format. Either enter the requisite details in the highlighted fields or adjust the wording to suit your purposes.

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is part of Employment Documents. Just £35.00 + VAT provides unlimited downloads from Employment Documents for 1 year.
