This Company Let Guarantee and Indemnity for Corporate Guarantor is a simple agreement in which a Guarantor (e.g. the parent company of the Tenant) undertakes to pay the rent if the Tenant fails to do so and to compensate the Landlord for any loss caused if the Tenant breaches any of the terms of the tenancy agreement.

It also includes an indemnity which is a separate obligation to the guarantee, which provides greater protection for the Landlord.  An indemnity obliges the Guarantor to compensate the Landlord for loss or damage and is not dependent on the tenant’s obligations being enforceable.

This template is for a corporate guarantor, such as a company, government body or other institution. It is designed for use in conjunction with one of our Tenancy Agreement templates. A Guarantor may be required if the Tenant is a relatively new company or if its financial standing is not satisfactory.

A copy of the proposed Tenancy Agreement should be attached to the Guarantee so that the scope of the guaranteed is clear.
